The Cantor Arts Center boasts a proud and venerable history, as it was conceived of in tandem with the founding of Stanford University itself. The Stanford family, including Leland Jr., traveled the world collecting objects of art and cultural interest. The mission of the Computer History Museum is to preserve and present for posterity the artifacts and stories of the information age. As such, the Museum plays a unique role in the history of the computing revolution and its worldwide impact on the human experience.
The Computer History Museum was formally established as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization in 1999. The Museum is dedicated to the preservation and celebration of computing history. We are home to one of the largest international collections of computing artifacts in the world, encompassing computer hardware, ephemera, photographs, moving images, documents and software.

An aura of elegance is assured in this handsome private dining room on the 15th floor of a national historic landmark building, designed by noted architect Julia Morgan in the same style as her more famous creation, San Simeon. Mahogany paneling, carved stone fireplaces and floor-to-ceiling arched windows set the tone for a most memorable evening.

North Bay- Rustic Elegance
Located at the foot of Mt. Tamalpais, amongst the redwood groves, the Center’s two-building complex skillfully combines wood, concrete, painted steel, copper and glass to create a facility with all the light-admitting spaciousness and crispness of good modern architecture.
The main event space is the Cascade Room which welcomes guests with a dramatic entrance atrium followed by breathtaking vaulted ceilings. The cathedral-style ceiling is supported by laminated wood trusses, an airy architectural element that makes the room soar. The generous use of glass in the Cascade Room is particularly effective at night, when light pours out through the windows.
The large patio on the east side of the Cascade Room has no walls or fences and runs right up to a three-acre lawn creating a perfect place to pitch a tent or two are an outdoor event.

Recently restored to its former glory the magnificent, building features an elliptical dome, measuring 180 feet from the top of the 24-karat-gold painted sphere to the floor. The Rotunda is only one of two domes still surviving in the Bay Area. The Rotunda’s 120-foot elliptical dome is touted as one of the largest in the world and is registered as an historical landmark.

Critics called it a party palace to rival City Hall. This former 1908 Scottish Rite Temple provides an elegant setting sporting unique architectural features.
Three distinct levels offer planners a choice of possibilities. The Grand Ballroom with its horseshoe-shaped balcony, 22 turn-of-the-century teardrop chandeliers, built-in stage and blonde hardwood floors can handle up to 580 people for banquets and 900 for receptions.
The Lodge Level features 35-foot ceilings, wood paneled walls, stained glass windows, a stage with hand-painted backdrops and a 1909 organ. It has space for 240 people for banquets and 300 for receptions.
The Sutter Room with its arched ceilings holds 500 for banquets and 750 for receptions. The entire facility can accommodate up to 2000 for receptions.
